My Education
I am a second year MBA student at the University at Buffalo - SUNY.
The two areas that push me to work harder and harder everyday are Finance and Technology. I will be majoring in Finance and Consulting from the MBA program. I believe that the experience working in a technology domain along with the mixture of finance, consulting and courses from operations and marketing will definitely help me to perform a meaningful work in any position that I work.
I completed my Undergrad as Bachelor of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering from Kongu Engineering College, Erode, India. I literally spent all my 4 years 2004-2008 in the college. I did a couple of projects, presented a few technical papers and mostly read technical books outside the curriculum. While this gave me enough advantage to come up with drastically new ideas, it never helped me score a good grade. Eventually I graduated in First Class with Distinction. I had a couple of job offers from Cognizant Technology Solutions (CTS) and TATA Elxsi Ltd (TEL). It was a rule in the college that a student can take only two offers. So, I had an interview scheduled at Fisher Chennai Engineering Center (FCEC) in May after I graduated. I cleared all 3 rounds of interview, but was stubborn with the idea that I will be pursuing my MBA in 3 - 5 years (and I'm doing what I said).
My primary, secondary and higher secondary education was all from my dear Alma mater, R.S.K Higher Secondary School. The school followed Central Board of Secondary Education's system. I completed my schooling with focus on mathematics and biology (which supposedly helped me in the future to design Bio Medical projects).
